Welcome to the Circle Towne Tavern. Also known as the Circle Bar, the Circle Towne Tavern is a part of the Steinkeller and Mac and Joe's "empire". The Circle is a friendly neighborhood establishment that combines the modern sports bar with the history and feel of the speakeasies of the 1920's.

Open from 4:00 PM until 2:30 AM each evening, the Circle is a place where, during happy hour (from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM), Oxford's hardworking townsfolk gather to relieve the stress of the day and share tall tales. As the evening progresses, the more seasoned and savvy of the Miami University student population frequent the establishment.

Drop in a few times, let us know who you are, and you too will have a place where everyone knows your name.

Whether you're out to have a shot and a brew, throw darts or watch the big game, you'll love the welcoming and intimate environment.

The Circle has all of the liquors you'd expect to see in a full sized bar and offers a wide variety of single malt scotches to boot.

 

You can also order food from both Steinkeller and Mac & Joe's menu and have it delivered to you right there at the bar.

 

It's not easy to find, but hey, that's the way it's supposed to be. After all, as the townie's all say, if you don't know where it is, you don't belong here! But just to be sure you know we're friendly, we'll give you a hint to help you find us -- look for the green alley door in the vicinity of Mac & Joe's or seek out the "secret" passageway from Steinkeller.
